IRXross is Shimadzu’s FTIR innovation, designed with a special focus on sensitivity and high resolution: the instrument has an S/N of up to 55 000:1 and a resolution that can be varied between 0.25 cm-1 and 16 cm-1. The IRXross features a temperature-controlled DLATGS detector, a germanium-coated KBr beam splitter and ceramic light source, a Michelson interferometer at 30 degrees, continuous dynamic optics alignment, a closed interferometer section and automatic drying. Among the window options, KBr is resistant to room humidity up to 70% and KRS-5 up to 90%. The instrument is controlled by the easy-to-use LabSolutions IR software.
