Shimadzu ICPMS-2040 & ICPMS-2050
Shimadzu ICPMS-2040 & ICPMS-2050
Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer
ICPMS-2040 and ICPMS-2050 are Shimadzu’s inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometers. Of these, the ICPMS-2040 is the basic model of the instrument series, while the ICPMS-2050 also allows H2 and NH3 reactions in the collision chamber. Both instruments include a special mini-torch, which at the same time reduces the instrument’s argon consumption by about 30% compared to conventional torches.
MAIN FEATURES
Sensitivity with environmental friendliness in mind
- The new plasma torch offers a significant increase in sensitivity.
- At the same time, argon consumption is only 11 L/min for measurements and 5.5 L/min in ECO mode when the instrument is not in use. The instrument can be operated with ≥99,95 % argon gas.
Increased efficiency at no extra cost
- Faster sample chamber rinsing reduces the time required for measurement.
- The sample feeder starts rinsing while the previous run is still running, which also shortens the measurement cycle.
- The ICPMS-2050 has a H2 reaction chamber in addition to the collision chamber. This allows additional sensitivity for the measurement of certain elements.
