The FOSS Kjeltec™ 8100 is a semi-automatic distillation unit that automatically adds alkali to the sample tube. The unit also includes a pipe drain to a sewer or waste tank.

The most common applications are total and ammonium nitrogen from water, and protein or nitrogen determination from food. The Kjeldahl method is a generally accepted method (e.g. AOAC and ISO). Limit of quantification 0,1 – 200 mg N.
